Aftercare Instructions

When your tattoo is finished, your tattoo will be cleaned and wrapped with an absorbent pad (Tattoo Armour) and you will be sent home with a few more for rewrapping your tattoo.

After you get home and before you go to bed you will want to remove the bandage and clean your tattoo.

Use warm water and unscented soap only, gently hand wash your tattoo, and rinse your tattoo with cold water at the end to tighten up your pores.

Let your tattoo air dry for 15 minutes and then apply a thin layer of aquaphor, hustle butter or cocoa butter. Do not use any petroleum based ointments like Vaseline, A&D ointment, and do not use Neosporin.

Rewrap your tattoo with the pad and leave it on overnight.

REPEAT the process when you wake up the next morning then again the next night until you run out of pads. Usually for 2 days.

After 4-5 days you may switch to an unscented lotion.

If your tattoo is excessively swollen you may take Ibuprofen and apply a cold compress over the bandage in 15 minute on and off intervals.

Do not pick, peel or scratch your tattoo as it heals. This could result in infection, irritation or scabbing. Although uncommon, If any scabbing should occur, do not pick the scab let it heal and fall off naturally.
